Who were the alchemists? What are the properties of a bezoar? How do you capture a unicorn? A thematic path in three appointments will take us on an exploration of these and other questions, including treatises on magic and astronomy, medicinal herbs and poisons, legendary creatures such as mermaids, dragons and centaurs, and the stories and symbolism associated with them. The heritage of the Capitolare, extremely rich and varied, can tell us many of these stories: starting with some ancient volumes - a selection of which will be on close display at each meeting - we will be able to delve into various details that have become an integral part of mass culture, thanks to the famous saga of the little wizard with spectacles that has conquered entire generations of fans, in order to rediscover its historical and cultural roots. Because after all, there is no place more magical than a library!
