General rules for visits

Below are all the points of the general regulations for visits

You can access the Library's exhibition halls only with a regular admission ticket.

Each ticket allows only one access.

The staff is authorized to require you to show your admission ticket for the duration of your stay in the Library: so please keep your admission ticket carefully until the end of your visit.

The ticket is non-refundable, but rebookable if the change is made within 7 days prior to the booked date with rebooking within the next 60 days.

Documents entitling to reductions and gratuities will be checked at the ticket office.

Bulky bags, backpacks, umbrellas, laser pointers, knives, scissors and any other objects that are deemed dangerous to people and artwork in the judgment of security personnel may not be brought into the exhibition routes. There is no storage for bags and objects in the Library.

To persons with firearms (excluding law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties).

To persons with hazardous materials of any kind.

To persons in bathing or skimpy clothing.

For safety and conservation reasons, it is forbidden to touch and consult the books in the exhibition halls.

It is forbidden to touch the works present in the exhibition route.

It is forbidden to lean on the bookcases and the frescoed walls of the "Maria Sedes Sapientiae" chapel.
